Visible Shops Announces April to Be "Earth Month"

Over the weekend, millions of web users noticed a change to Google’s homepage on Saturday, March 29. For the entire day, Google’s homepage was awash in black, a complete turnaround from their famously simple white background. It turned out that Google was making a “gesture” in dedication to Earth Hour, a global conservation project. One Stumbling Block of Social Networking: Privacy Issues

Last week, Facebook announced new measures to ensure privacy for users. The first measure is a privacy interface for each part of a Facebook element, such as a photo album or contact information. You may choose by category who is able to see this element. Then, there is a “Friends of Friends” option that allows you to share more with people you have connected with through friends, not the networks you joined on Facebook. Finally, you may create a specific list of people who can view a particular feature such as a photo album or group invitation. The New Wave Against Spam

In late May of 2007, the individual reputed to be the “Spam King” was arrested on charges of mail fraud, identity fraud, fraud in connection with electronic email, and money laundering. Robert Alan Soloway has been considered one of the worst of the worst spammers on the Internet. This month, Soloway plead guilty to the charges of email fraud, felony mail fraud, and failure to file taxes as a bargain to have the other charges dropped.
